Beginnings and Endings

It's going to be a short post day today, as I'm swamped with things to get done after the Rose Croix weekend. The event went very well and I'm sure that all in attendance had a great time! I only have two things on the agenda for the blog today, but they are both important.

1. I have decided to stop doing Trivia with Fezzy on the blog. After a good run of 20 weeks, I feel the idea has run it's course. I'm going to try to concoct some kind of new contest to keep interest in the blog, but for now I am bidding trivia goodbye.

2. If you're on Facebook (and who isn't anymore) you should be participating in the Change Your Profile Picture for DeMolay event sponsored by "Proud DeMolay." Just to go to Facebook, search for"Proud DeMolay" and you'll find an assortment of pictures for you to choose from. This is a simple way for you to get involved in DeMolay month and support the organization, so, give it a whirl!

Trivia with Fezzy: Rules and Regulations

Trivia with Fezzy has become a popular feature on this blog. It's been a great tool to get some older posts re-read and to share information and history. It's also been a nice way to tie into the Take Control! program. However, this morning I had to evaluate how many points are being given out and how it's impacting the overall budget of the program and the awarding of points. After doing some calculations, I've decided to cap the number of wins at 5.

Therefore, no person can win Fezzy trivia more than five times.


This will effect very few of you, as most are still under 5 wins. However, be aware that once you've reached five wins you will no longer be eligible to win the contest.

A short one today...

Today's post is going to be a short and fairly unsubstantive one. It's been a crazy week here at Patton Campus. From some major computer glitches, to staff not feeling well, to the Flag Football Tournament, and the impending PMYF Board of Directors meeting, life has been hectic. Pile onto that the Key Cru, the Youth Minutes, and the Penn Rainbow that all need to go out (almost 4500 newsletters) and you can see the that the blog has to take a back seat until Thursday.

I do want to hit on a couple of points though.

First I am pleased to announce that Bro. Isaac Holtzer, of Westmoreland Chapter has won the Fezzy Trivia Contest for this week. The correct answer to the question of "Wilbur Chapter, formerly of the Bethlehem, PA area was once prominently featured in Life Magazine. This article went on to cause a lot of trouble for the Chapter, but, more importantly it was also responsible for helping to get DeMolay started in what foreign country?" was "Australia." However, for the second week in a row there has been only one answer to the Fezzy Trivia Question. Are the questions just too hard? Do you not care? What can I do to make it more interesting? Please let me know!
