Even more publications!

Hot on the heals of my post on Monday, I direct you to another website that is chock full of resources for any Masonic Youth Group, but especially DeMolay.

Over on the PMYF website, under the Programs > Publications section, there are a bunch of quality publications that could be of great use to your Chapter. More especially, they could be of use to your Chapter Advisory Council. Many of the documents relate to working with Masonic Sponsors for your Chapter and how to keep them involved. Who doesn't want help with that?

That's not all that's available on PMYF either! If you're interested in the Masonic Youth Group Grant Program, the HODEGOS Award for Adult Leaders, the LifeSkills Conference, or even the Masonic Scholarship Resource Guide - it's all there!

As you learn and grow in DeMolay, it's important to keep in mind all the resources that are available to you and your Chapter. Take some time to review the websites for the organization and you'll often find important pieces of information that you didn't even know were there!

Marching 2 Success

A new resource has taken the DeMolay world by fire - March 2 Success. Already being supported by DeMolay in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts, this site aims to help students to do better on standardized tests and college entrance exams. The service is provided free to everyone as part of an initiative created by the United States Army to aid young people in having successful futures.

What does the site provide? Why, an amazing amount of FREE resources! Anyone can take practice SAT and ACT tests, as well as download flash cards that will help students study for these important exams. The site also has resources for those trying to navigate the college entrance process and the maze that can be financial aid.

If you're a student, you owe it to yourself to check this out. If you're a parent or a mentor, you owe it to your  guys and girls to share this website!

DeMolay Around the Web

If you are looking at this blog, then it's quite probable that you have used our main website located at www.pademolay.org. While we are quite proud of the PA DeMolay website, we recognize that it is not the only DeMolay website out there. Almost every other jurisdiction has a website of their own, reporting on what their members are doing. I try to visit these other sites on a regular basis, not only to find out what is going on with DeMolay around the country, but to get some ideas on what I can do to make our website better.

I think it's important for DeMolays to realize just how vast our program is. Remember, this isn't just a "Pennsylvania" thing. Rather, DeMolay exists and thrives in many other parts of the US (and the world.) So, I've compiled a list of ten of my favorite DeMolay websites. Give them a visit and see what you can learn from your Brothers outside of PA!
